She's Amazing!

On Tuesday, during the end of the year assembly with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders, Ky was the only girl in her class to receive the Citizen of the Year award!! Congrats Ky :)

Trust me, I was worried... You might remember my post from the beginning of the year when she was constantly being moved in class due to talking too much - wonder were she gets that from ;)

Limo Lunch

The limo lunch at Midland was for the kids that sold at least 18 buckets of cookie dough for the fundraiser. If you sold 25 buckets you got to take a friend, or in our case - a sibling, with you! All 86 kids had a great time and us chaperons survived it ;) After four trips to Arctic Circle with 20+ kids in each limo - I NEEDED a big coke and a few excedrin, lol. The PTA will be sure to offer some kind of reward like this again next year, however due to the pure chaos, I'm not sure we will be welcome back to Arctic Circle... oh well, it was worth it :)

2nd Grade Field Trip

On Monday Ky and I went with the 2nd graders to The Peak in Brigham City! It's a huge gym with lots of different activities. They had a great time learning about all different kinds of exercise's and games that they can play during the summer to keep them from watching TV and playing video games all day. All of us Moms stood around the edges and watched them, just watching them for two hours wore us out :0)

Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day Weekend was another busy weekend. Friday night and Saturday morning I spent the evening with our ward's young women cleaning windows for our camp fundraiser, doesn't get any funner than that! Saturday after finishing with them, I worked on our yard, mowing and edging, while Joel started the cement work that we are doing in the our back yard, I love it! Later that night we went up to Craig and Darcie's house to visit and ended up going with them to Tony's for dinner, yummy :)

Sunday was a great day! Joel made me a wonderful breakfast, him and the kids got me presents, we went to church together, went to visit his grandma, had dinner at his Mom's house, and then dessert at my grandma's with my entire side of the family, cousins and all. It was great to see my cousins, it had been a while. Overall the day was great and there will be no do-overs this year at our house ;)

Ky's 8th Birthday

(Ky with a few of her friends at Classic)

Ky was spoiled again, no surprise... She got 6 Webkinz, make-up, clothes, shoes, money and a lot of other fun stuff. She is one well taken care of 8 year old. On Sunday we celebrated with Joel's side of the family, on Monday -her actual B-Day -we celebrated with my side of the family, and on Tuesday night, we took her and 12 of her friends to Classic Fun Center in Layton. About a hour into the party, Ky came up and said she was having a hard time breathing - I immediately thought ASTHMA! Joel left and her took her to the after hours clinic - leaving me with her friends, luckily another Mom had stayed to help.

We soon found out that our little princess was VERY sick. Fever of 103.8, low oxygen level, sore throat - the works! We had NO clue. I had noticed a little cough earlier, but when she showed no signs of being sick, still playing with friends...etc, I thought it was nothing. I asked her why she didn't tell us, she said,"I didn't want to miss my party!!" So, for the next two days, Ky and I stayed home while she recovered. Now we have an exciting baptism to look forward to!!

I love my Man!

So much as been going on lately, life has been CrAzY, but I'll post about that later... Right now I just want to let Joel know how much I appreciated him today. While I was going non-stop today with church stuff, PTA stuff and an aunt/cousins luncheon, Joel was home keeping busy.

I walked in the door this afternoon to a rose on the table for me...for no reason other than because he loves me! Those are the best kind, when they are not expected :0) Then I looked around and noticed that he picked up the house, helped with laundry, and made the laundry shoot that I have been wanting! He is ABSOLUTELY fabulous!! I love him!!

Thanks Joel :)
