I'm Curious...

On Friday it was Joel's turn to supply the treat for
their Friday Morning Meeting...

This is what he thought up and took.
(: printed new labels for chocolate bars :)

I'm curious how many people actually get it??

Do you know what the Apollo chocolate bar is from??

Let me know....I'm curious!

Disney on Ice

Joel and I took the kids to see Disney on Ice this week.

We were kind of worried that Ry might be too old for it,
but they both really enjoyed it. Joel was given the tickets
from work, but the night got really expensive, really fast!

(YES~Out of all of the restaurants in SLC,
my kids picked Subway at the Gateway.
5......5 dollar......5 dollar foot longs :)

5th Grade Ski Day

On Friday Ry's class had the opportunity to go to Snow Basin for ski or snowboarding lessons. They had a blast! Ry, of course, wanted to snowboard. He took to it like a fish to water. After the two hour lesson they were allowed to have 2 hours of free time.... That's when it got scary :)

Ry started at the level one class...

But quickly moved to the level 3 class!

On the last run of the day, Ry and Sami crashed into each other.... Luckily he was wearing sun glasses when the tip of Sami's ski went right into his eye. I'd much rather have broken glasses then lost eye sight. Both walked away with scrapes and bruises, but at least they walked away!

I loved that it wore Ry out! He came home and took a 3 hour nap...and then went to bed early!
That has never happened...not even after six hours with two back to back football games :)

Forgive Me...

I know I am FAR from a perfect driver (Shh)...
HOWEVER, your going to have to pardon me
while I hop up on my soap box for just a minute.

Today while I was out running errands I saw
something that drove me absolutely CrAzY!!

A guy driving in front of me refused to yield
to emergency vehicles...twice, yep, two times!
Then a few minutes later, the same guy, pulled
over for a funeral procession...I wanted to hurt him!

I think that when an ambulance is trying to
get to someone or get them to the hospital they
need, and deserve, the "right of way"
because they are trying to save a life
~ a little dramatic, but still, you get the point.

Not to be mistaken as a form of disrespect
of the dead, but I think that when one is dead
the need to "rush" is over, am I wrong?

NOW, being that I have been the one in an ambulance
being taken to the hospital and I have yet to be the
one that they are taking to a grave site, I might be a
little one sided on this matter :)

I can get that he might not have heard the
sirens ~ my radio is loud too ~but when
EVERYONE is pulled over, don't you
think you should at least look around??

Okay, I feel better now... Thanks!
