Precious Moments....
TOO CUTE!!

For a couple of years my neighbors have been telling me that it's time to start making Ry mow the lawn. They would say, "don't you have a son that can do that". Well...
THIS IS THE YEAR!
Joel will continue to mow the backyard, and I will continue to edge it...NOBODY can edge like I can. Like they say, if you want it done right...you gotta do it yourself ;)
However, it is time for Ry to start taking on more responsibility around here. Saturday he mowed it for the first time and did a GREAT job! He loved it and was having fun, Until I started taking pictures :)
~ Hopefully it will continue to be fun all summer! ~
Happy Birthday MOM!
Happy Birthday Mom!
Yesterday was my Mom's birthday. Brent, Susie and I decided to take her to dinner, giving her a break from taking care of my recovering Dad. Yep, my poor Dad was back in for another surgery on Friday...his wrist this time. (I'll post cool pic's soon)
Brent picked me up around 3:00pm and we went to get Susie. The three of us arrived at my Mom's in Bountiful around 4:00. After getting over the shock and getting herself ready, we took Mom to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. We had a great time! It was nice to be able to visit with them in a small group. After dinner we went back up to her house and continued to visit with her and my Dad. It was a fabulous night :)
I love you MOM!!
Thank you for being an amazing Mom and one of my best friends!
I truly would be lost without you.

One Great Neighbor!
Happy Birthday Deb!(I stole this picture from her FB page...I hope you don't mind Deb :)
Then Ky came along and loves to sing... Yep, Ky and her friends will go over to Deb's porch to sing to her and she PAYS them, lol. She has also paid them to wash her car and shovel her driveway and I'm sure there is much more I don't know about. I keep telling her to stop - but she insist that she loves it and them and continue to support all of my kids whims. She truly is one of the most amazing ladies I know and we all love her!
Thank you Deb for being one of the best neighbors a family could ask for!

Why I don't cook dinner very often...
There is a great story behind this picture,
but I am too distraught to talk about it right now... :(
I won't talk about the smell in my house...
I won't talk about the dish that exploded
or about my now very dead oven...
I won't talk about everything that melted...
And I won't talk about the phone call I got
when I was at Staci's getting my haircut...
(It was to hard to understand Ry
anyway with the fire alarm going off!)
Nope, don't want to talk about it!
I WILL TELL YOU THAT....
My hair looks fabulous, Thanks Staci!
AND
We settled on Dylan's for dinner tonight...
I took Ry to the Doctor today.... Sinus infection and an ear infection in both ears ~ Yuck! As you can see from today's pictures, he was totally miserable ;) Thank goodness Zoe Lou was here to take good care of him!
However, I have to tell you, the look on his face when the doctor told him he could go back to school tomorrow...PRICELESS! The kid is kind of dramatic ~ I wonder where he gets that from??
Funny Story... Last night, while up stair reading, Ry came running up the stairs yelling, of course, MOM!! MOM!! MOM!! When he got into my room he said, "Uncle Brent is going to be RICH ~ He gets to sue Arbys!"
"SWEET!", I said. "But, why would Uncle Brent sue Arbys??" I asked. Then he started to tell me how Arby's is running new commercials with the same slogan that Brent came up with for his new t-shirts at Christmas time....."MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!"
Joel and I started laughing..."Unfortunately Uncle Brent didn't think of that slogan on his own ~ It's been around for a while, Buddy", I told him. His cute little face dropped, you could tell It completely dashed all hopes of being left money in the rich uncle's will :)

Easter Weekend
Saturday night, after the kids got back from turtle hunting with the kids, we colored eggs together.
(Yes, Joel and the kids love to go out to the wetlands at night with flashlights. The light reflects off of their eyes and they can see a lot of little turtles ~ They are no longer allowed to bring creatures home from the wetlands! One time they brought home frogs....that croaked all night long. The kids were able to sleep through it....Joel and I couldn't. Needless to say the frogs went back to the wetlands very quickly!)
Sunday morning after the kids woke up to see their Easter stuff, we enjoyed breakfast together and then spent the morning relaxing, just hanging out together! It was great :)
Sunday afternoon we met at my mom's house for dinner. My cute grandma was having a rough day.... It is so hard to watch her slip away a little at a time. However, some of the stuff she says makes us laugh. After the kids hid the plastic eggs and toys for Bodee, we all watched him walk around in the snow picking up his treasures. Yep, sadly up on the Bountiful bench there was still a lot of snow. The older kids were not forgotten... They each walked away with an iTunes gift card and more Easter candy.
Later that evening we took dessert over to Joel's parents. We showed up with stuff to make strawberry shortcake, yummy!
