Ketchup... ;)

Okay...I have really been a blog slacker lately so this is my attempt to catch up! WARNING...It's not short!

Birthday Boy...

We celebrate Ry's 11th birthday in September and this is the only picture the little stinker would let me take of him...Brat ;) That's okay, I'll get him back by posting it! You might not be able to tell but, after chasing him, I had to pin him down on the hood of my car... and of course he is laughing at me. His pain and suffering came to an end when he finally got Madden 10....and other stuff.

Field Trips....

So far, I have been on one field trip with each one of my kids this year.

With Ry I went to the Enviromental Center and I got the best work-out of my life! They had us hiking all over the mountain. Next time either one of them go to the Enviromental Center their DAD will be going with them :)

We started with frisbee golf.....

Which really means... hike all over the mountain to find lost frisbees!

Then we moved on to Geocaching....

(Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches)

Which really means....hike down and then back up the mountain, yes...again, to find 5 different hidden containers.

and of course we found them all....unfortunately ;)

Our group then moved inside to the rock wall and Ping Pong, yeah!!
(I finally got to sit my lazy butt down!)

After all of that hiking, I think Ry's favorite part was the
tin foil lunches, he had two!

The groups last activity was archery and then it was time to leave. The kids had a great time and they went home exhausted...so did us parents!

With Ky, I went to Kent's Market to learn about......well, I'm not really sure actually, but it was crazy and total chaos! We walked around, with about 125 students & 30 parents, filling out a worksheet and annoying customers - good times!

After Kent's, and lunch at Arctic Circle, we went bowling at Sparetime Family Fun Center.
NOW that was fun!!

The kids could bowl as much as they wanted for 2 hours. After about an hour though the kids started getting bored and the parents started to show their skills....or lack thereof :)

Halloween...

Because Ry was sick with the swine flu the weekend before Halloween, my Mom held her Annual Halloween Party on Halloween day this year. Ry, with some pressure from a Grandparent, dressed up as a Pirate. Ky, who had her costume for over a month, dressed up as Tinkerbell.
They were both very cute!

(Yes, she was very concerned about having the flower
in her hair show in the picture, silly girl)

After pizza and swamp juice, frozen slushy lemonade with gummy worms, the fun began!

The kids bobbed for apples....

carved pumpkins...

and played various games! They had a ball.

After all the Halloween activities were over.....

We, finally, celebrated MY BIRTHDAY!
Yes, just like my kids...I am a brat!

Later that evening we took a group of our friends to our ward's trunk-or-treat and then went back to Joe and Heather's house for dinner, Burger Bar! The older kids continued going door to door trick or treating and the rest of us stayed, in the warm house, to visit and enjoy Heather's homemade chocolate eclairs - YUMMY!

Overall the day was VERY LONG but a lot of fun!!

THE END!!
