Happy Birthday to YOU, Happy Birthday to YOU,
Happy Birthday to SUSIE, Happy Birthday to YOU!!

I hope you had a fabulous day...once you finally got
Bodee to stop throwing up ;)

Weekend Fun

At least once a weekend we try to
meet up with our friends :)

Chris & Amy, and their kids,

Mclayne, Chandler, and Delaney

Joe & Heather, and,

their boys Hyrum and Harrison.

Last weekend we met up at Fat Cats in Ogden. My kids are good at a lot of things...bowling is not one of them. Oh well, at least we had yummy chick-fil-a after bowling!!

This weekend, for Joe's Birthday,
we went to Chuck E. Cheese...

Yes, it was Joe's choice ~ the adults are all hoping he starts to grow up soon ;)
The kids, however, are hoping that he doesn't!

So, after a really expensive pizza, and more money than I want to admit on tokens..... we headed home with 4 curly straws, a plastic microphone, pop rocks, a ring, and a large ball. What more can you ask for??

It's a date!

Ry and Dad headed to East Canyon
to go ice fishing! Brrrr :|

WHILE

Ky and Mom went to the movies!
We went to see The Princess & The Frog :)
(and stayed nice and toasty warm....silly boys)

The movie was very cute.....sad, but cute!

New Years Eve

Okay, so I'm a little behind...

This year's New Year's Eve started as usual... We go to my parents house for games, food, and fun. My kid's had been looking forward to the annual sleepover for months. The bingo game began and at one point in the night, the fight for prizes got pretty heated....hilarious, but heated!

My Mom finds great joy in allowing us to pick/take each other's prizes, if we chose, instead on picking one from the pile that has yet to be opened. Things get tense... This year the boys wanted the rocket and the girls went after the cozy socks :)
Gotta love those cozy socks! Good Job Ky!!

Around 11:30 pm, we all began getting ready to go sledding. My kids both had the stomach flu last year and were both disappointed that they missed the annual sledding at midnight. I, on the other hand, can think of much warmer ways to bring in the new year, but there will be plenty of time for that when my kids are grown and gone :(

We headed over to Eagle Lake Golf Course.

Oops... Oh well, it's always easier to
ask for forgiveness than it is to
ask for permission, right ;)

We got in about two runs down the hill before the fireworks started going off. A family, who's back yard is at the top of the golf course, began setting them off to bring in the new year.

Right when my Dad said, "Where's Maggie?", knowing she is afraid of fireworks, we turned around and saw her running out of the golf course towards Bountiful Blvd. My parents headed back to the car to go find her and the rest of us stayed with the kids.

About 30 minutes later the kids lost interest in sledding and were worried about Maggie. At this point it's around 12:30 am and we all continued to search until 2:30 am. Both of my parents were sick :( it really was heart breaking ~ since all of the kids left home ~ Maggie has become their baby.

Brent and his family headed home and the rest of us tried to get some sleep...except my Mom and Dad, who went back out to look for another hour. Because Bodee had lost his binkee and my parents yorkie was going crazy, none of us got any sleep that hour. At 3:30 am they came back we decided to set the alarm for 7 am, at which time we would all continue our search and post flyers, etc.

~HOWEVER~

When the alarm went off at 7 am, my Dad looked out onto the deck and there was Maggie lying in the snow, cold, wet, and muddy....BUT SAFELY HOME!! Everyone, especially Mom & Dad, was thrilled she made it home safe and sound.

Thanks for making it a memorable night Mags!
We all are SO glad you made your way back home :)

Do you remember Punky Brewster?

Kylie has terrible feet... Mostly due to the fact that she loves cute shoes and flip flops, but they have very little support ~ all of the tumbling and jumping she does doesn't help either. For over the last year she has been battling Plantar Fasciitis and we are constantly looking for the perfect shoe.

From the moment I walked into JC Penney's with Kylie, I knew I wasn't getting out of there with out these shoes. Her eyes lit up and it was love at first sight! This is totally her style, she LOVES them. I was thrilled that she found a good pair of lace up shoes that she was excited to wear.

However...they do remind me of Punky Brewster!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning at our house began at 4am...early! Once all of the excitement of opening presents was over, I'm not really sure what the kids did, but Joel and I went back to bed :)

At 9am we met my family over at Susie's house for Breakfast and to play with all of Bodee's new toys. Then it was on to visit Joel's grandparents. I'm bummed that I forgot to get pictures over there. Grandma Lewis broke her arm and was excited to show us her cute pink cast. She is adorable! This lady has her own style and is proud to show it, I love it! Everything is a bright color with glitter and pizazz, so cute.

We left there to go to our Annual Christmas Day Movie!! It became a tradition back when I still lived at home, and is my kids favorite. Around Halloween they start watching to pre-views to start picking the Christmas day movie. This year it was.....Alvin and the Chipmunks. Bodee LOVED it, the rest of us....not so much :)

When the movie was over the day finally started to slow down... The kids wanted to come home and enjoy what they got for Christmas and Joel and I wanted to take a breath. Later that evening we went over to Joel's parents house and had dinner. Crazy busy day...but it was great!
