A Difficult Day

Tamara Sue (Turner) Slock, born September 28, 1962 in Yerington Nevada to Paul and Erlene (Lynne) Turner, passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2011 with her family around her. Tami fought a valiant 14 year battle against ovarian cancer and never gave in to the many trials it threw her way, always living life to the fullest.

Tami worked for Eastern Airlines for three years and Continental Airlines for nineteen years in various jobs and loved the many opportunities it provided to see the world. She married Thomas Scott Hardy in 1979 and they had a son named Tory Skylar Hardy. They were later divorced. In 1995 she married her sweetheart, Fredrick Hendrick Slock, shortly before she was diagnosed with cancer and they traveled the world together. She also has a grandson, Tyrrell Hardy, who she loved dearly and took on some of her adventures.

Tami always had a smile for everyone and was known for her kindness, always going the extra mile. She never complained about her situation, was incredibly courageous and a hero to many. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Tami is survived by her husband Fred, son Tory, grandson Tyrrell Hardy, sisters Linda Turner Vincent and Cindy Peterson (Brad) and her nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her friends and a close and loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as Rudy and Lucy, her two Cairn terriers.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father.

Funeral Services and interment will be held at Leavitt's Mortuary located on 836 36th Street in Ogden on Tuesday, January 3rd 2011 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit Monday, January 2nd from 5 to 7 pm or one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
