My kids are at such a fun age, I LOVE IT! We have good times and great conversations together. I'm going to change my blog a bit and make it more about them and less about me....Yes, I finally agree that my Friday Confessional can be LAME (I read back through some of them...YIKES!). I might still do a few here and there, but I'm going to start posting more about my cute little kids....their thoughts, their likes and dislikes, etc.
For example, while driving in the car with Ky the other day, I asked Ky:
Me: If in 20 years someone asked you.....Whats one thing your Mom would always say? What would you say?
Ky: Oh, that's easy. (very dramatically) She said, Kyyyyyy.....Will you please come turn off my light or Kyyyyyyy....will you please turn on my fan?
Me: lol...nice, at least you know what your responsibilities are, right? I've trained you well. What about I love you? I say that a lot don't I?
Ky: (laughing) Yes, right after you ask me to turn off your light or turn on your fan.
Me: (laughing) Oh come on. I say it when you get out of the car at school, at the end of every phone conversation, I say it at bed time....I say it all the time.
Ky: I know that you love me but that doesn't count as one of the funny things my mom says.
Me: I never said one of the funny things....Just a saying that I always said. Like my Mom always said "Why buy the cow if the milk is for free". (She gave me her "one eyebrow" look and I started laughing) Oh, yep...I guess you do remember the funny stuff first.
Ky: I will remember that you always told me that you love me....but I'll look back and talk about all the funny things you say and do.....like when I tell you that I have a headache and you say that going to get YOU a coke will help my headache, the hundreds of ways that you can say use the word "seriously" by just changing the tone of your voice, and how you can turn anything - good or bad - into something that is "super fabulous".
Me: That is a rare talent, right? Life doesn't have to be perfect to be Super Fabulous!
Ky: Hmm...oookay (one eyebrow look again - I'll post a picture of it soon).
Next time I'm alone with Ry I'll get his answer to the same question. I'm going to have to be kind of sneaky....especially with Ky...because they would FREAK if they found out that I'm going to blog conversations and such. So, MISS LEXY....DON'T TELL THEM ;)
**Lexy (<---click for the blog her mom keeps about her) is one of the SUPER FABULOUS young women in my ward, I adore her! Lexy is one of the two or three people that actually go out of their way to read my blog....the rest get it in an email from my adorable Mom.
