Adam was able to surprise Carie and the girls on Saturday afternoon making it home in time for Chelsea's wedding, it was awesome! Everyone knew that he was coming home from Kuwait early because he had received a promotion in the Army and will be moving the Family to Chicago. However, Adam had convinced everyone that he was stuck in Texas for debriefing for several more days, maybe even weeks...and if you know the military at all, it's totally believable!
Carie had arrived in Utah the week before to help but the finishing touches on her niece's wedding. Adam's surprise was the perfect ending to a very long week....she'd totaled her Ford Expedition just after arriving in Utah. Her and the girls weren't hurt, but it was one more thing to add to the pile of things going on for her.
Later that evening, after the ceremony, Adam stopped by to visit with Joel while Ky and I went to Chelsea's wedding reception. As the evening was winding down...the fun began!! At one point Carie, who was Chelsea's Matron of Honor, threaten to smash cake in Dustin's face...well, that's all it took :)
Carie was never able to get Dustin back...well, besides what she put on his car...but, have no worry, she will get even!
Carie and Adam are heading back to Idaho to pack up their house and get to Adam sent off to Chicago...he reports to back work before the end of June. However, Carie and the girls will be staying here in Utah with family for the rest of the summer. I'm seeing a GNO in our near future!! Poor Dustin ;)
