Taken from my iPhone...On Ry's Birthday he wanted to go watch his old team play. I don't think he realized how hard it would be to sit on the bench the entire time. He said, "Mom, Now I now how the "10 play" kids feel....I just want to grab my pads and run out there!"). The very first year Ry started out as a 10 play kid, coaches have to play every kid at least 10 plays in every game, but in just a few weeks he moved to a starting position and has stayed there ever since, most times playing both sides of the ball even though his love is defense.
Taking the year off from football, due to injury, has been bittersweet. Next year will be the last year of rec football and then he'll be an 8th grader and playing for the Jr. High!
