Haylee at 15 Days Old

Susie and Ryan are very lucky! Haylee is an extremely good baby...so far ;)
She sleeps through the night and only cries when she's hungry.

Last weekend, while Susie and Ryan took Bodee to see Toy Story 3,
I got to babysit Haylee. I love how snugly she is, she is at that
stage where she loves to be held! Enjoy it Susie, it goes by too fast!

If only "someone" could guarantee that if Joel and I
had another one, the baby would be as good as Haylee,
I just might consider it......well, okay, maybe not ;)

I'll just enjoy my few hours here and there I get to be Aunt Heidi!

Father's Day Weekend

On Saturday evening Joel and I took the kids and went out with friends. Around 7 o'clock we met Heather & Joe, and their boys, and Chris & Amy, and their 3 kids, at Burger Bar ~ YUM!. After ordering food, and waiting... and waiting...(they are kind of slow, but it's worth it!), we got our food and headed to the Motor-Vu Drive In. Ky was not thrilled with our movie choices, but the rest of us were looking forward to seeing the A-Team and Robin Hood. I think the funnest part of the drive-in is the time we hang out waiting for it to start, visiting, watching the kids play catch, and people watching ~ there are some STRANGE people at the drive-in ;)

The A-Team started around 9:30 pm... I LOVED IT! However, Ky fell asleep in the back of the truck about 30 minutes into it, Ry fell asleep half-way through it, and Joel thought it unrealistic... HELLO...IT'S A MOVIE ;)

Around midnight Robin Hood started... IT WAS LAME!! I gave up about an hour into it and got into the cab of the truck and fell asleep. Joel said he thought it too long...but then again he was kind of tired at that point. We made it home around 2:45 am and set our alarm for 8am, church starts at 9 am :( However, next thing I know it is 10:30 am and everyone else is still asleep....oops! That's one thing good about church...there is ALWAYS next week!

Father's Day was great! The kids and I gave Joel a gift certificate to Sportsman's Warehouse, which he asked for ~ gun stuff, fishing stuff... I'm sure he'll find something plus some ;)

Joel spent the day with Ry working on the old canoe they bought. Around 4 o'clock we left for the BBQ at my Mom's house. Due to a mis-communication, kind of..., we arrived an hour early, but the weather was perfect for setting out on my parents deck visiting. After dinner we headed over to Joel's parents house for dessert. We were also celebrating Judd's birthday...WoW, he's OLD ;)

Overall the weekend was a lot of fun!

Our newest family member...

Ky's new baby guinea pig, Rosie!

I know, I know...your jealous, right?

You, too, can get your very own Guinea Pig at PetSmart ;)

What we thought would be an inexpensive pet for Ky has cost us over $200 in the last week. We have all fallen in love with her, she is so cute! On Saturday we spent the day building her a new house and buying her new toys. So far Zoe and Fisher, our labs, have not bothered her...but we are being very cautious. Today after Ky left, to go to Surf & Swim with friends, I went in to check on Rosie and noticed that Ky had painted her nails, both front and back, bright pink ~ that is one patient little guinea pig :)

Riverdale Splash Pad

On Monday, Susie and I, took the kids to the new splash pad in Riverdale. I took Bailey, my nephew, Ky and her friend Hope. Ry was with my in-laws out on their boat.......fishing, I'm sure your shocked ;)

You can tell from the picture that Bodee wasn't sure what to think of it. During one of the breaks Bailey and the girls took Bodee over to the playground. After two hours of playing, and getting all hot and sweaty, Bodee decided to give the cold water a try...he is just too cute!

Susie and I sat on the sidelines with Haylee, who slept her through her first trip to the park. She is so little...the cutest thing ever. Her big brother just LOVES her to pieces, Bodee had to give her kisses when she got out of her car seat, every time we moved to a different place to set, and again when she got back in her car seat. He is such a good big brother :)

Weekend Fun

Last weekend, after getting my hair cut and colored, we met up with the Jackson family at the mall to see the new Karate Kid movie. It was fabulous! We have seen a lot of kid movies lately but this was the best one by far. I totally recommend you see this movie...even if you don't have kids! Afterward we stopped and ate at Chick-fil-A, yum!

I also love the new hair cut and color! Thanks Staci :)

Tumbling...

Ky takes tumbling on Thursday nights...
She was NOT happy with me, can you tell?
She hated that I brought my camera, but she'll get over it :)

Green River Day Trip

Joel got a wild hair, a few weeks ago, and decided to take Ry to the Green River for the day...CrAzY! They woke up at 3:30 am on Saturday morning and made the 4 hour trip. They fished until after 1:00, stopped to have lunch, and then drove back home...NOT my idea of fun, but they both LOVED it!

Ky and I spent the day doing what we do best...SHOPPING! She got a couple of new summer outfits and the newest Justin Bieber's CD. She was thrilled :) That was about 2 weeks ago...and today I am proud to say that all four of us have the entire Justin Bieber CD memorized ~ Ry, however, is not so proud ~ Shhh! don't bring it up...it's a sore subject ;)

My Mom Always Said...

That I would be paid back for all of the craziness I caused in her life. Well, she was right. I didn't think, however, that I would be paid back EXACTLY the same way.

A few years ago....okay, MANY years ago:

I was in a hurry to go hang out at Andrea's house, but had to finish my chores. I quickly loaded the dishwasher and left...

30 minutes later I get a phone call from my Mom saying that I needed to come back home and clean up the mess I made. She was not happy but I could hear my brother laughing in the background. When I walked into the kitchen they were scooping up bubbles into a bucket to dump out on the back lawn. It seems, in my hurry, that I put liquid dish soap into the dishwasher. OOPS... Soap suds were all over the kitchen floor and headed down the stairs into the basement.

Then, YESTERDAY...

While down stairs working on girls camp stuff, I hear Kylie SCREAM, "MOM, I THINK I PUT TOO MUCH SOAP IN THE DISHWASHER!"....oh crap :(

I run up and sure enough bubbles were pouring out of the dishwasher and all over the kitchen floor...Déjà Vu! After running over and opening the dishwasher, stopping...slowing down the bubbles, I started laughing and tried to clam her down. Luckily my handy dandy Hoover Floormate quickly took care of all of the bubbles on the floor.

Then it was time to figure out how to get all of bubbles out of dishwasher. I called my Mom and asked how she got the bubbles out.... after LAUGHING at me for a good ten minutes, she told me that vinegar would kill the bubbles. Sure enough, it worked! Thanks Mom :)

Unfortunately I didn't think to get my camera until after I had removed the bottom tray and started pouring vinegar into the dishwasher...so just imagine the dishwasher completely full ;)

Hopefully everyone reading this will learn, from both me
and my daughter, NOT use Palmolive dish soap
in your dishwasher!

Feel'n Old...

Yesterday when I went out to the mailbox I received what I thought was going to be a wedding announcement... Instead it was Bianca's LDS Mission Announcement!!

Bianca, who is Joel's cousin Tracy's daughter, was the flower girl at our wedding...which feels like just a few years ago. I believe Bianca was 5 at that time. Where did the time go??

In what seems like a blink of an eye, Bianca has grown it to this amazing young women. She has been talking about going on a mission for as long as I can remember ~ but I knew she had a cute boyfriend, D.J., and I thought that plans might have changed.

Bianca, who is/was working as a Vet Tech, is a beautiful piano and guitar player, loves sports, has earned a black belt in Karate, and likes to jump out of perfectly good airplanes! She also has such a spunky personality, I love it.

I know she will be great out on the mission field...even though she couldn't possibly be more than twelve ;)

She's Here!

The day was absolutely perfect! When I arrived around 8:00 am they had already started Susie. I left to go rent videos and when I got back Susie was ready for her epidural. We interupted Ryan's, Susie's husband, exciting marathon of Whale Wars to put in Leap Year....very cute movie.

Once the movie was over, credits still rolling, the nurse came in to check her. The nurse had notice that Susie's contractions were changing and said that usually means that she was getting close. Sure enough Susie was at a ten and the baby had completely dropped. Withing minutes the room was full of excitement...nurses, equipment, and the doctor came in ~ and I got kicked to the hall :(

From there things went really FAST! From the door I could hear Susie, Ryan, and her doctor laughing and within 10-15 minutes the sweet baby girl was SCREAMING!

Because it was my Mom's last day of school ~FOREVER (She is officially RETIRED, YEAH!)~ she missed it by about 2 hours... However, my Dad ~who was driving home from St. George~ missed it by only minutes. Within hours family from both sides started pouring in to see baby Haylee.

It is now Sunday night and both Susie and Haylee are home and are doing great!
